About this policy
This policy explains how GLI International Advisory Fzco (“GLI Advisory,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. It applies to information collected through gliadvisory.com, through inquiries made by form, email, telephone or WhatsApp, and in the course of providing our advisory services. We handle personal information in accordance with the data protection laws of the United Arab Emirates and any other laws that apply to it.
Who we are
GLI International Advisory Fzco is a company registered in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, with its registered address at Unit No: 3501–D07, Swiss Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are responsible for the personal information we collect and hold.
Information we collect
When you visit our website, we collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you view, through cookies and similar technologies.
When you make an inquiry through our website, we collect your name and telephone number, together with any other details you choose to give us, such as your email address, country of residence, area of interest and a description of how we can help. When you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we collect the information you share in that conversation.
When you engage us, we collect the information needed to advise you and to prepare an application. Depending on the program, this may include identity and passport details, civil status records, details of family members to be included, residence history, police clearance certificates, medical information, professional and bank references, and evidence of the source of your funds and wealth.
Some of this information is sensitive, including medical information and criminal record checks. We collect it only where a program requires it, and we handle it with particular care.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiry and arrange an assessment;
- advise you on programs that may suit your circumstances;
- prepare, submit and follow up on applications;
- meet our legal, regulatory, anti-money-laundering and record-keeping obligations;
- operate and improve our website; and
- where you have agreed, send you updates about programs and developments that may interest you.
We use personal information only for these purposes, or for purposes compatible with them. We do not sell, rent or trade it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
The basis for using your information
We process personal information where it is necessary to respond to your request or to perform our engagement with you, where we must do so to comply with the law, where it is in our legitimate interests to run and improve our business in a way that does not override your rights, or where you have given your consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
To provide our services, we share personal information only as needed with:
- authorized or licensed agents through which applications must be submitted;
- government authorities and citizenship or residency units that decide applications;
- independent due diligence and background-check providers engaged as part of the application process;
- professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants and auditors; and
- service providers that support our business, such as website hosting, analytics, electronic signature, communication, client management and accounting services, acting on our instructions.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation or a competent authority. We expect everyone we share information with to protect it appropriately.
International transfers
The programs we advise on are administered in several countries, so personal information will be transferred outside the United Arab Emirates, including to the countries whose programs you apply for and to the locations of our service providers. Where we transfer information, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including to meet legal, regulatory and anti-money-laundering record-keeping requirements. Inquiry information that does not lead to an engagement is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for at least seven years after our engagement ends, or longer where the law requires.
How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. Access is limited to those who need it to provide our services.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw any consent you have given, including to receiving updates. Some requests may be limited where we must keep information to meet a legal obligation or to complete an application underway. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
